Author: dfilas  //  Category: Waiting in the Wings

Check out what The Phoenix Theatre for Children has in store for kids and teens this winter at The Columbus Performing Arts Center!

With classes and programs for young actors between the ages of 3 and 18, The Phoenix Theatre for Children’s Theatre Classes for Kids and Teens are now accepting reservations!

Adventures with Babar (Ages 3-5)

Take a journey through the deepest jungles all the way to the schools of Paris with Babar the elephant and his friends—Celeste, Pom, Flora, Arthur, and don’t forget Zephir! In this hour-long, eight-week class, we’ll explore creative movement and different types of storytelling using characters from the Babar books. At the end of each hour, we’ll have a “sharing time” for families to enjoy what we’ve created.

Acting Adventures (Ages 6–8)

Experience a new adventure every week as we bring stories to life through character creation, puppets, and masks. Become a pirate, a princess, or anything you want to be. Imagination required!

Musical Theatre School (Ages 8-13)

In this program you’ll have the opportunity to spend your morning building the skills necessary to become a “triple threat” performer, or if you would prefer to focus on an individual skill, you can do that too! Singing, Acting, and Dance classes!

Company B (Ages 11-13 & 14-18)

If you loved our Musical Theatre Intensives this summer, then join us for Company B! Take your musical theatre skills to a whole new level as you work towards becoming a “triple threat.” This eight-week class will culminate in a “sharing” of our work for family and friends to attend on Saturday, March 13. All Company B students must complete a placement audition.
